The path to protected, productive external collaborations.
In the competitive climate in which we currently develop and deliver our products, we encounter scenarios involving life-long partners that may also be fierce competitors, or loyal suppliers suddenly unable to deliver due to new tariff/toll restrictions. Product companies are destined to collaborate with others, yet they need to protect their most valuable asset: the IP of their end product.
At Eurostep, we demonstrated in previous webinars how secure collaboration can be managed during the procurement and manufacturing phases of a product’s lifecycle using our ShareAspace Design to Manufacturing product. But what about the earlier phases, such as during conceptual or detailed design? Is it easier or more complicated then? Who are the participants in such collaborations? What is the real value of keeping track of all shared data in a phase where nothing is definitively decided and the impact of a small design change is minimal?
