Governing materiel and support information to sustain operational capability
14 to 15 April 2026
Magasin 9, Frihamnsgatan 66, Stockholm
Modern defence systems often remain in service for 30 to 50 years. Sustaining them effectively requires access to accurate, relevant and traceable materiel and support information throughout the lifecycle.
When this information cannot be trusted, configuration traceability becomes difficult, sustainment decisions are delayed, and operational availability is affected.
At Defence Expo Sweden, Eurostep will be discussing practical and proven approaches to governing materiel and support information across the lifecycle.
If you work with acquisition, integrated product support, configuration management or information governance, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss your current challenges.
A key question for defence authorities
Many defence organisations today face an important question:
How can materiel and support information remain trustworthy and usable throughout the operational life of the system?
Programmes often involve multiple organisations, systems and decades of change. Information delivered during acquisition must remain traceable, governed and accessible to authorised stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
Without this, it becomes difficult to:
- Verify contracted information deliveries
- Maintain traceability to the authorised configuration baseline
- Plan maintenance and sustainment activities
- Sustain operational availability over time
At Defence Expo Sweden, Eurostep will be discussing practical approaches used by defence authorities to govern materiel and support information across the lifecycle.
Typical lifecycle information challenges
Authorities responsible for defence materiel frequently encounter challenges such as:
Configuration traceability during change
Support information exists, but it is difficult to confirm which authorised configuration baseline it applies to as systems evolve.
Verifying contracted information deliveries
Information is delivered in formats that are difficult to validate, integrate or trace across systems and programmes.
Maintaining usable support information through-life
Information delivered during acquisition becomes difficult to reuse for sustainment and maintenance planning.
Controlled access to sensitive information
Materiel information must be accessible to authorised organisations while maintaining strict governance and export control.
If these challenges sound familiar, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss them during Defence Expo Sweden.
Topics we can discuss at the exhibition
Integrated Product Support (IPS)
Effective sustainment depends on product support information that is delivered in a structured, verifiable and traceable manner.
Without reliable information deliveries, maintenance planning, configuration control and sustainment decisions become significantly more difficult.
ShareAspace enables defence authorities to:
- Define, contract for and govern structured support information deliveries
- Consolidate information across programmes and organisations
- Review, verify and formally accept information deliveries
- Maintain traceability to the authorised configuration baseline throughout the lifecycle
Export Control and secure information governance
Defence organisations must frequently collaborate across organisations and countries while still protecting sensitive information and complying with export control regulations.
ShareAspace Export Control enables organisations to:
- Provide controlled access to export-controlled or sensitive information
- Apply policy-driven or licence-based access rules
- Enforce strict need-to-know information access
- Maintain an auditable record of information access and sharing
Schedule a discussion at Defence Expo Sweden 2026
If you would like a focused discussion during the exhibition, you can schedule a short meeting with our team.
These discussions are typically relevant for teams working with:
- Defence acquisition and programme governance
- Integrated product support and sustainment
- Configuration and change control
- Lifecycle materiel information management
- Export control and secure information access
You are welcome to bring a real programme or sustainment scenario to the discussion.
Typical questions we explore include:
- How can materiel information remain governed and traceable through-life?
- How can support information remain tied to the authorised configuration baseline?
- How can authorities verify and accept contracted information deliveries?
- How can sensitive information be accessed across organisations under export control?
15 minute discussion. No preparation required.
Proven in defence information governance
Eurostep was recently awarded a contract by the Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (NDMA) to deliver DIGIMAT, a secure cloud service for automated and quality-assured collection of defence materiel data.
The service enables governed collaboration with defence equipment suppliers while maintaining control over sensitive information and lifecycle data.

About Eurostep
Eurostep is a Swedish software and solutions company founded in 1994 and part of BAE Systems Digital Intelligence since 2023.
We deliver ShareAspace, a proven commercial-off-the-shelf platform that enables organisations with complex assets to define, acquire, govern, and securely manage materiel and support information across the lifecycle.
ShareAspace acts as a secure collaboration layer that:
- enforces access rights and information governance
- maintains traceability to the authorised configuration baseline
- enables controlled information access across authorised organisations
- provides an auditable digital thread of what information was shared and why
This enables defence authorities and partners to work from assured information throughout the lifecycle, supporting sustainment planning, configuration control and operational availability.
